Car Description:
I bought this car to rescue it from its doom at the scrap yard. The rear crossmember was completely rotted off the car and could barely drive straight enough to make it on the trailer. I sourced a southern, rust free crossmember from LKQ and had it back together with factory Subaru hardware within a few weeks of owning it. I have been doing my best to keep this car living while also turning it into a fun, weekend trail rig with a flair of a Gambler style build. I have put a lot of long and late hours into the car so far and do have a lot more planned as I go farther including custom bumper, winch, adjustable rear suspension and a 5spd manual swap. Current parts being installed on car include: Forester struts, Forester rear knuckles and lateral/trailing arms, 2in lift kit, snorkel from a Mitsubishi L200 Pajero, Bassett 15x7 steel D-window wheels, 235/75 R15 Westlake M/T, custom license plate bodywork.
I have been working day in and day out with limited money because I want a car I can be proud to say I built. Finding parts has been the hardest as I can't afford to buy new. It might not look all the special but it's special to me. I can't remember the last time I've constantly worked on a car like this and feel so accomplished every time I get parts installed on it.
